What this is
A yoga class
A yoga class moves a room through a sequence of poses linked to the breath, with an instructor calling out or demonstrating each shape and offering variations for different levels of flexibility and strength. Styles range from slow and restorative, mostly done seated or lying down, to faster paced flows that build heat through the body. Most classes end with several minutes of quiet lying down before the room gets up. Mats are sometimes provided and sometimes something you bring yourself, so it is worth checking the listing.
Wear clothes you can move in, bring a mat if the listing asks for one, and arrive a few minutes early.
